This website acts as the Public Engagement Portal to help connect the public with the South Bend Brownfield Coalition's efforts. From late 2014 through 2017 we will efficiently identify, prioritize, plan and assess brownfield conditions throughout St. Joseph County, IN.

On August 11, 2015 the Bicycle Coordinator, and Brownfield Coalition lead partner representative Chris Dressel took members of the Technical Project Team on a 9.5 mile tour of brownfields and corresponding community condition surrounding them in South Bend. This provided a way to take in a significant part of the west side corridors area, and learn site conditions. Dressel pointed out community assets and infrastructure conditions to Technical Project Team members Chris Harrell and Ryan Eckdale Dudley. Dressel also noted the “usual suspects” in terms of suspected brownfield site identification.
